How to Treat Acid Spills
Instructions:
- To treat free flowing spills, apply from the perimeter of the spill inwards
- Appropriate personal protective equipment should be used
- As a precautionary measure for static spills, apply evenly over the spill
- Use sufficient neutralizer to eliminate the presence of liquid acid & create a uniform gel
- Carefully add until a purple color is evident. Do not over neutralize
CAUTION: During neutralization, some heat & gas emissions may be generated, use in well ventilated area.
*NOT FOR USE ON: Hydrofluoric Acid, Fluorine & 2, 4, 6-Trinitrotoluene. Contact with food products containing sugars may form carbon monoxide gas. Dispose of neutralized blend in accordance with local, state & federal regulations.
